2 Days Back to Back

Two full days, one right after the other. If you're flying or driving in from out of state, this is the fastest way to get real ground covered on a large project without making the trip four separate times.

Back-to-back days are billed at the standard $2,000 day rate, per day. A $1,000 deposit holds both days and comes off your final total. Dates are locked once the deposit clears.

Why do it this way

A single session can only go so long before your skin stops cooperating and the work stops being worth doing. Splitting the same hours across two consecutive days gets me significantly further into a sleeve or back piece than one marathon day ever could — and you heal better for it.

For a traveling client, two back-to-back days can be the difference between finishing a full sleeve in three trips instead of six.

What two days actually covers

It depends entirely on the piece, but as a rough guide: two back-to-back days will usually get a half sleeve fully laid in, or take a full sleeve from blank skin to roughly a third complete. On a back piece, expect the main structure and the first pass of rendering.

I always work top-down on limbs — starting at the top of the arm and moving toward the hand. That sequencing helps with healing, layering, and the overall flow of the piece.

How to prepare

Eat a real meal before both days, not just the first. Sleep. Hydrate the week before, not the morning of. Bring snacks and something to occupy your hands. Day two is always harder than day one — going in rested is the single biggest thing in your control.

Book your travel with a buffer. I'd rather you fly out the morning after day two than have you watching a clock during the last hour of work.
