Portraits (Color or Black & Gray)
All of the examples below are just that—examples. Every tattoo is unique, and some pieces may require more or less time.
That said, I hope the information below helps you get a better idea of what to expect when booking your next Portrait with me!
For full-day sessions (6–9 hours), I charge a flat rate of $2000.
Portraits are typically completed in a single session, usually between 5–9 hours.
The only factors that might turn it into a multi-session piece are size and whether we’re working in color.
Session Breakdown
For the best results when tattooing a family member’s portrait, having the highest quality photo possible is key.
I understand that can be difficult—emotional attachment and the lack of a high-res image can make it challenging. But if we work together, we can still create a strong, meaningful final result.
If we’re doing a fictional character or movie actor, I usually recommend we collaborate on selecting the image, so we choose one that will translate best into a tattoo.
And one final note:
Just because portraits can often be completed in a single sitting doesn’t mean all portrait tattoos are one-session pieces. For example, a full back portrait may still require multiple sessions depending on size, detail, and complexity.
